Shilhay Community Nowadays our Mission is….. “To help people who are homeless or vulnerably housed to access accommodation, health and vocational services in order to improve their quality of life”.

Street Homeless Outreach Team

SHOT works (!) Twice weekly Outreach support service Twice weekly Drop-in support sessions Six-weekly Hotspots Communication – partners, community Prevention – hospital, prison, police Assessment Referral Advocacy (e.g. housing)

Local Rough Sleeping In the last twelve months SHOT has worked with 349 people in housing crisis of whom: 81 were found rough sleeping in Exeter 107 were supported to retain their housing 134 people were helped to access housing but 29 people found rough sleeping -Nov 2011
