CONTENTS HOW IT WORKS MATERIALS WHERE WOULD WE PUT OUR DEVICE? MAINTENANCE WHAT EFECT WOULD IT HAVE ON THE ENVIRONMENT?

HOW IT WORKS The water goes into the design through holes. When a wave comes, it pushes up the air and that spins a turbine which creates electricity. The electricity goes through an underground wire to the shore and powers people’s homes.

MATERIALS Plastic Solar panels Lights Motor Propeller Lots of copper wire

WHERE WOULD WE PUT OUR DEVICE? We’d put the big bottle off shore because there are bigger waves there but the water is not too deep as our device has to be fixed to the sea bed. It would also need to be off shore in a rural location so that it does not adversely affect tourism and the fishing community.

MAINTENANCE We would try to keep servicing to once a year to keep down the costs.

WHAT EFFECT WOULD IT HAVE ON THE ENVIRONMENT? We would make our holes small enough to prevent fish getting in. However, if they did, there is nothing inside the big bottle which would be hazardous. We would place lights powered by solar panels on top of our design to prevent night time fishers from crashing into our device.
