Project Title: Developing Effective Learner Training Across Europe (D.E.L.T.A.) PRESENTED BY: Mercy Maclean- Health Psychology Management Org. Services (UK) - Coordinator of the Project mercy Project Duration: ( ) Web:

 The purpose of this GRUNDTVIG - LIFELONG LEARNING European partnership project is to build mutually beneficial relationships between partners form different European countries to increase appreciation of different ways of training through staff and learners’ perspective in Europe  The summary of this partnership project is to develop quality in effective learner training across Europe through learning about different teaching/learner methods used by all partners, best practices and innovation through workshops and conferences  The outcome of the project will be to create a “book” of all the different teaching/learner methods of good practises of different means of teaching through animational methods. The Grundtvig Partnership will have the opportunity to compare the different ways of teaching and training through the learners’ perspective in Europe HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) INTRODUCTION OF THE D.E.L.T.A PROJECT Summary of the Project:

 The design of the project focuses on innovative methods of teaching through role playing, global simulation and how the use of ICT impacts on the trainer/learner outcome.  The benefit of the project will be to identify what works and what does not work in adult education HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) INTRODUCTION OF THE D.E.L.T.A PROJECT (Continuation of Summary)

 Is to Work with different European partners to enrich our European cooperation with a different perspective from each partner, but then work towards the same goal  To Get to know different forms of teaching/training methods and different practises within different organizations from different European countries  To support the integration of European values into the national adult education systems and contribute to raise the quality of education and training, bringing innovative methodological approaches to practice  To respond to the need of European integration and globalisation, which are all processes that require new competencies on behalf of teachers/ trainers especially in the field of quality and innovation HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) RATIONALE OF THE PROJECT

 To implement opportunities for teachers/trainers to access quality information and maintenance of their skills in lifelong learning  To help provide TRAINERS with a pathway to completing AN EFFECTIVE TRAINING  To analyze the way TRAINING determine the quality of Continuing Education for Teachers/Adult learners  To facilitate EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK of quality in Training  To provide Innovative ways of training to trainers within adult education in Europe  To provide an evaluation of quality for the trainer/learner experience  To develop and analyze the way adult learners are trained  To address strategies involved in cooperative learning techniques and active learning methodologies HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

OUR APPROACH:  Create a Moodle platform dedicated to the project in order to have a platform on which we can work and communicate through sharing experiences, best practices and innovation.  The Moodle platform will facilitate how the development of a web environment may encourage dialogue, exchange of views and debate between peers, which is based on practice sharing.  The Moodle platform will consider interaction, negotiation and verbal activity as the basis for the development of superior mental processes thus assigning to “symbolic/language” activities, the key function in joint knowledge building and in the interpretation, whether or not shared, of the external world HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) STRATEGY OF THE PROJECT

 The European nature of this project will provide the basis for transfer of best practice related to training of teachers and learners.  The European outlook also has the benefit of all the partners coming from different institutions, different countries and different environments to share their expertise to provide innovative ways of working.  The participation of all European partners in this partnership will increase the competencies of Staff and teachers, not only in the design of courses and activities but also in the methodology or didactics applied to their daily work  The final aspect of a transnational benefit of the project will present an opportunity for learners to receive direct benefits from all the planned activities HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) European Transnational Benefits

The benefits for the participating institutions would allow:  Effective cooperation and debate on adult education focusing on trainer/learner experiences of best practices among partners operating in different national contexts at European level  A more in-depth view on specific issues on trainer/learner education in each national context  An in-depth and multidimensional view on trainer/learner interaction and on the changes occurring in each national environment with its specific characteristics  The provision of guidelines for adult education giving new elements of debate about the role of new technologies in the educational system and in Lifelong Learning HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) Benefits for Participating Institutions

 Monitor and evaluate the entire process of the partnership project and the results achieved from the beginning of the project until the end, which means engaging in continuous evaluation  Write a midterm report considering: - the effectiveness of the partnership relations and communications; -the quality of the materials produced - mobilities achieved and outcomes - whether the aims of the project have been reached Produce a final report at the end of the project considering all activities and mobilities undertaken during the project life cycle HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) PROJECT EVALUATION

The avenues of disseminating of our project information will be through:  The Web-site of all partners and newsletters;  Transnational meetings and National conferences;  News releases and press conferences;  Publication of the project results in specialized and non-specialized local and foreign press All partners will:  Publicize project information through their own organisation  Use local newspapers, radio, etc to spread results and information about the project  Translate documents and information leaflets and spread them into the community.  Create a mobility newsletter, considering the activities and exchanges in each mobility.  Develop workshops for the community and free activities to capture new adult learners  Communicate by or other communication tools to spread local materials and information about local activities HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) PROJECT DISSEMINATION

 There are 5 meetings planned for the DELTA project. Each meeting would occur in an EU partner country as follows :  1 st meeting - Kick-off meeting - United Kingdom  2 nd meeting – Poland  3 rd meeting --Germany  4 th meeting – Turkey  5 th meeting - Spain HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY MANAGEMENT ORG.SERVICES_DELTA_ PROJECT:( ) Transnational Meetings
