What are these and how did they help win Olympic medals for Team GB?

They are ‘bum warmers’ to warm the buttock muscles of Olympic cyclists before a race! The extra warmth means the cyclists can start one hundredth of a second faster than their opponent. Remember, that to be a success in anything the small details really matter!

Rearrange the following

Answer

Achieving success in your controlled assessment

…which is adding together (the ‘aggregation’) the small details (the ‘marginal’ elements) of your writing to make it better (the ‘gains). Get all the small details right and you make a big impact upon the quality of your writing!

‘Marginal gains’ for your controlled assessment? Review the feedback you received from your mini-assessment. Do you have any specific targets which will be your ‘marginal gains’? Which skills in your writing process will give you those marginal gains? What other techniques will you use that will be ‘marginal gains’?
