Cars By BC

genre This film is a racing animation/cartoon.

representation They make the car sound like an actor who has turned into the car. The car is attractive to look at but is not quite perfect as his lights do not work. He is overconfident and gets into trouble because of his attitude.

Stock character/stereotype There is one character who is stereotypical that is the Italian car who owns the garage he speaks Italian and normally if you stayed somewhere for years your accent would change but his didn’t. He has a leaning tower of tyres to remind the audience of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy.

Narrative This is a story about a car who races for the Piston Cup and he is an average racer who has worked his way up the ranks. In his first Piston Cup race he drew with 2 other racers so the race was rescheduled for the 3 racers in another city. The story follows the beginning/middle/end structure where a character has a problem that they need to resolve.

Audience involvement The animation is drawn as if it is a real race track and the audience gets excitement because the picture moves as if they are part of the race as well.
