GSCE Product Design, Controlled Assessment task (evaluation) Greenhill, Tenby. This guide is for both pages 13 and 14 L Evans 11.04.13

Page 13 Note from the exam board Things you must include on page 13 Candidates are expected to produce a piece of continuous writing; they may use tables, bullet points or sub headings but need to write in full sentences. What general conclusions can you draw? Write about the project as a whole but make reference to specific features / events How well does your design meet the need of the target audience? Why? Your time management, did you manage your time well? Why? Quality control issues Any general difficulties you may have had Any elements of success you have achieved Things you must include on page 13 You need to write an evaluation of your product including the following Evaluation against the specification Does your product meet each point on your specification? If it does not why not? You should be critical of your product when comparing it to your specification but it it equally important to be constructive Highlight evidence from your product to show how it meets the specification point (if it does meet the specification point) Evaluation against the opinions of others If possible try to get the opinions of the people who you asked on page 4 Do you agree with the opinions of the people you have asked about the product? If so why if not why not? Explain why the opinions of others are an important evaluation tool

Examples of what to include Write about each point from your specification, you need to say if your product meets the point or not and why.
