Regional Grant – Year 1 update London: – short film made by students to increase understanding amongst students of the importance of positive emotional health – will be launched and available to download from February East of England: – regional conference took place in May Case study and presentations now available from EoE page on Healthy FE website East Midlands: – smalls grants to support various initiatives for Spring/Summer 2011 including stop smoking services, health promotion events, BCHC and a 8 week healthy eating/physical activity programme 4 Regional Network October 2014

Regional Grant – Year 1 update North East – regional conference taking place in March South East – focused on ‘Keeping Active’ - developing a website where all colleges in the region can showcase the work they do to promote physical exercise. Small grants were made to colleges to support a physical activity enrichment activity. South West – the grant funded the Big College Health Check for colleges who were interested in undertaking the survey to boost the regional statistics. 5 Regional Network October 2014

Regional Grant – Year 1 update West Midlands: – regional conference took place in Autumn 2009 with participation by members of the West Midlands regional network and partners. Presentation available on Healthy FE West Midlands regional page. North West: – regional conference “Putting Health in FE into Action” took place in May Greatly strengthened the longer term sustainability of the regional network in the North West. Further information and presentations are on the Healthy FE North West regional page Yorks & Humber: – ‘A Practical Guide to Becoming a Healthy College’ - a book has been produced for anyone working in a College, wanting to implement the Healthy FE programme - available through Jane Marshall at Bradford College 6 Regional Network October 2014
