Homework 1 and 2 1. Design a safety poster for use in a Food Technology room. It should be colourful, attractive and informative. 2. Put together a collage suitable for one of the cultural celebrations you are studying. Your collage should include images of food, dance, colours used, flags, countries etc. It should use words to label some parts of it. ( an example of a collage is on the next slide)

Hungry at tea time Challenge (Week 3-6) Your parents have decided that it is time to get you more involved in helping to prepare meals at home at least once a week on a Thursday. Look at the next slide to see what ingredients are available for you to use for the first challenge. You will need to get help from an adult at home You will then need to do the activities and write up your answers. You will need a camera or other device with a camera ( maybe a mobile phone).

Design a dish Using the ingredients made available to you, design a dish that you could make. You are allowed to add one or two other ingredients. 1.Sketch and colour the dish that you have discussed. Take a picture of your sketch and upload it onto a Microsoft Word or PowerPoint document. (Week 1) 2.What name would you give to this dish? Write out how you would make the dish. Remember to include all the tools and equipment you would use. (Week 2) 3.With help from an adult, make the dish and serve it for tea. Take a picture of the dish and upload it to your homework document. (Week 3) 4.Do a simple research on what nutrients are found in the ingredients used. Present your research as a factfile using bullet points. Include lots of pictures to make it interesting.(Week 4)
