3 June 2010 energynetworks.org 1 SPEN Pre 2005 DG Draft Modification Report currently with Ofgem Proposed methodology for charging pre April 2010 EHV generators from 1 st October 2010 Extend current methodology of a calculating a “pseudo generation pot” to derive the allowed revenue to also include pre-2005 EHV generation Only include the O&M element under the DG incentive mechanism Adjust the target revenue associated with pre-2005 generation on a pro rata basis to only recover from October to March The geographical areas remain for charging purposes and generator charges are scaled to match the target revenue. This methodology is envisaged to be for an interim period and will be superseded by the implementation of the EDCM. If a pre 2005 generator paid capitalised O&M charges (covering Oct ‘10 - Mar ‘11) they will be exempt from paying DGUoS for this interim period.
