Senior Phase Choice Process TIMEPLAN FOR CHOICES  TUESDAY 12 MARCH – Senior Phase Choices Sheets & Booklets Issued  Current S4/ S5 forms to be returned to House head by Monday 18 th March  Current S3 forms to be returned to Pastoral Staff by Wednesday 20 th Mar  From MONDAY 18 th MARCH – S4/ S5 Interviews  From WEDNESDAY 20 th – S3 follow ups  New Timetable Starts in June

Senior Phase Choice Process Consideration of Future Options Focus of recent work in PSE  Are you capable of further study at school?  Is college/work a better option?  Are your preferred course options possible?  For S4/ S5 students –’What if your SQA exams do not go as expected?’  Do you have a back-up plan in place?

Senior Phase Choice Process Options should be discussed with the following people: Family (including older brothers and sisters) Pastoral Teacher Subject Teachers Careers Adviser ( SDS) Friends

Senior Phase Choice Process CHOICE OF SUBJECTS S4 7 subjects must be selected from the columns S5 5 subjects must be selected from the optional columns – i.e. a full timetable is required S6 Aim for at least 24 of the 30 periods being filled - time can be filled with e.g. work experience, assisting with junior classes
