FOR WHOEVER HAS, TO HIM MORE WILL BE GIVEN: Text: Mark 4:21-25 Intro: Unlike here in UK where most of the needs of the people are being met, back home, the rich becomes more richer and the poor becomes more poorer! It seems unjust or unfair, surprisingly, it is God’s principle whoever has, to him more will be given. WHY? Aim: For us to understand why God give more to those who has and be trustworthy in every little things.

I.LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE- V 21;Matt 5:16 Mat 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Mat 5:15 "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Mat 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Pro 20:27 The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. So the main purpose of a candle is to give light to others.

When He gave His Word to us, that was not for ourselves to be changed only but for others to benefit from us. Candle: -Gives light in a little way -Little while -Easily blown out -Continually burning down and wasting Temporary as it is, small as it is, it should give light to others before its light runs out II. WE RECEIVE LIGHT TO BE A LIGHT TO OTHERS-V 22 For those in darkness should come to light For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed

God didn’t lit us to burn ourselves but to be of use to others The gospel wasn’t revealed to the apostles and to us to be a secret but to be heard by others 1Cor 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: God comforts us not to be comfortable but to be a comforter. 2Cor 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 2Cor 1:4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

The more we become useful to others the more the Lord will bless us. III. THE SOURCE OF OUR LIGHT (HIS WORD) -V 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear Let him hear God’s word (dinggin mo) what His Word says You cannot give what you don’t have The main key to be heard is to hear others Mat 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Pro 21:13 Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard. IV. WITH THE SAME MEASURE WE USE, IT WILL BE MEASURED TO US-V 24 Take heed what you hear To pay attention to, to listen to and consider Whose words have we heard are we considering? -God’s Word, the world’s, the unbelievers, or our own? Understanding comes by hearing God’s Word The more we hear the more understanding Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

Mat 11:26 "Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Whether it is by hearing or giving, the measure we use will be the same measure used back to us. V. FOR WHOEVER HAS, TO HIM MORE WILL BE GIVEN-V 25 To whom who has ear to hear, more understanding will be given to him But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him

Mat 25:26 "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. Mat 25:27 'So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Mat 25:28 'Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. Mat 25:29 'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. Those who earn profit (tubo) more will be given but those who hasn’t the capital will be taken away from him.

There’s no point letting you burying it, so it has to be given to those who could double it at least VI. APPLICATION Stewardship Luke 16:10 "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Lifestyle- the poor becomes poorer because of their lifestyle. The poor are behaving as if they are rich and the rich are behaving as if they are poor. Hard work Pro 22:29 Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late! Things were very cheap that time Encourage your children to invest 2.He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers. One could have bought many things with little savings Encourage your children to start some kind of savings He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

Don't buy more than what you "really need" and encourage your children to do and think the same 3. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him. You are what you are 4. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company. Always think how you can accomplish things economically

5. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. Assign the right people to the right jobs 6. He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1. Set goals and make sure people focus on them

7.He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television. Don't try to show off, just be your self and do what you enjoy doing 8. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet His advice to young people: Stay away from credit cards (bank loans) and invest in yourself and Remember: Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money. Live your life as simple as you are.

Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which you feel comfortable. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather. After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life." "The HAPPIEST people DO NOT necessarily have the BEST of all. They simply APPRECIATE what they find on their way.

CHALLENGE: Do you understand why the poor becomes poorer and the richer becomes poorer? What measure do you use? It be in hearing or giving? What kind of lifestyle do you have? Are you faithful with the little things? CONCLUSION: Luke 16:10 "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
