Lesson Objectives. To learn how to use the internet for research.

Success Criteria You will have had a successful lesson if: Written a multi-page report about Cyborgs, based on your internet research.

Introduction Many of you will have watched Star Trek: The Next Generation and will be familiar with The Borg. Is the concept of cyborgs - part human, part machine, just science fiction or could it really happen?

Task Use the Internet to undertake some research about cyborgs and write a multi-page report in Publisher explaining what you have found out. Remember to give real life examples and where possible include relevant images. Also, make sure that you discuss the advantages and the disadvantages which might arise by someone becoming a cyborg. Include a list of the websites which you used.

Task (Cont.) Here are some suggestions for places to start your research: I Cyborg (Remember to look at the links on the left) I Cyborg Robotman Cyborg Wikipedia Once you have finished your report, print it out - remember to include your name at the top of every page. If you have time create a design by hand to show how you think a future cyborg might look and add this to your report. Annotate your design to explain your ideas. And Finally As a bit of fun, you can find out your own Cyborg name Cyborg name
