Homework discussion What reasons did you suggest for the differences between Salisbury and Manchester?

Comparing Salisbury with Manchester... Go to... Enter your postcode in the Neighbourhood Summary box on the right hand side. Scroll down to see the different indicators of what your area is like. Now, do the same for M14 4TH, the Manchester postcode. Use the information provided to complete your worksheet.

Questions... 1.Which area is the most deprived? Salisbury or Manchester? 2.Pick 2 deprivation indicators from the website. Why do you think a high level of this indicator would make crime more likely in Manchester? 3.This area of Manchester is called Moss Side. Why do you think its crime is relatively low when it is such a deprived area? 4.Search for some images and stories of Moss Side. Are they positive or negative about the area?
