Business Growth Programme – Jason Middleton £3.9m of business support in Norfolk and Suffolk:- Nine ‘face-to-face’ businesses advisors A website and telephone helpline providing advice Grants from £5k to £25k to help businesses grow Specialist innovation support and advice Innovation support from UEA, UCS and NUA A LEP wide Businesses Start-up programme Support for Business

Growing Business Fund £12m to help SME’s grow, develop and create jobs across Suffolk & Norfolk 21 grants awarded to date totalling over £2.1m, levering in £18.4m of private match funding. Grants awarded to date forecasted to create 394 new full time jobs over the next 2 years. Over 290 enquiries & applications from all areas of Norfolk & Suffolk. Finance for Business

Grants4Growth £11m ‘invest to grow’ Government funding providing capital and revenue grants to SMEs. Includes support for completing grant applications New Anglia leading the way with 36 grants settled and 25 more in the pipeline Around £280,000 already awarded in grant settlements, with further £230,000 in grants in the pipeline. Over £2.4m of private sector investment already committed across New Anglia New element: ‘Energy 500+’ Grants of up to £1K for SMEs to install energy efficiency measures Finance for Business

Agri-tech Fund £2.5m Working with the GCGP LEP and available across Norfolk and Suffolk the scheme has 2 elements: - £2m Agri-Tech Growth Fund Grants between £25,000 and £150,000 to support improvements in agricultural productivity. £500,000 of investment to support the development of an Eastern Agri-Tech Centre Finance for Business

Enterprise Zone Six sites in Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft promoting & supporting investment in the energy sector by offering business rate discount, superfast Broadband & relaxed planning regulations. Since award of EZ status ( ) 8 businesses have moved in creating 263 jobs to date. The EZ has had c£9m worth of private capital investment from business and partners. By 2015 we envisage exceeding the original job forecast of 1380 by approx 35%. Infrastructure for Business

Growing Places Fund £18m Recyclable Capital Infrastructure Fund Projects approved so far in Norwich, North Norfolk, Ipswich, Kings Lynn & West Norfolk, St Edmundsbury, Forest Heath, Suffolk Coastal Small Loans Fund open to new applications requesting less than £500k, month repayment period Haverhill Research Park first project to be funded (Nov12) and repay its loan (Oct13) Infrastructure for Business
