Chapter 1 The fire was burning gracefully and lighting the whole of the small, shabby, old wooden lade cottage in the heart of the manmade wood which was miles from anywhere. Stanley, a tall, slim boy, and Poppy, a jumpy girl at eight years old, lived in the exact cottage I have been talking about and they had all pets there with them.

Chapter 2 There was Fred the brown monkey, Peggy the dwarf hamster and last but not least fluffy the creamy brown cat. You may be wondering how all these animals fit together but your close to finding out!.

Chapter 3 Stanley wasn't as you would thick because Stanley was different. When Stanley was little, him and his parents went to the zoo and they went to the lion’s den because they order some tickets to see massive room full of grass, trees and bushes.

Chapter 4 There were about five other people in the room and ten guards in the room with the six lion’s. This is the part which gets a little bit out of hand. One lion came right up to Stanley who was sitting down and laded on his lap and fell asleep.

Chapter 5 Everyone was stroking the lion cub including the guards. The other lion’s were to busy tucking into the big, juicy stake there sharing between them to notice what was happing. Suddenly one lioness saw here lion cub and pounced. Stanley’s life flashed before him but lucky a guard caught the lioness in his net but it turned out the guard wasn't a guard

but it was Stanley’s dad who caught the lioness in the net. Stanley knew that his dad had weak arm mussels and that they would brake if he caught anything heavy but his dad would do anything to look after Stanley. Stanley knew his dad would do anything to look after him.

Chapter 6 10 YEARS LATER the following morning… Stanley woke to the sound of birds singing. He knew it was the first morning of spring. Stanley raced down the stairs and out the front door and lay on the crisp green grass. He knew that to day was the day his mum died. Everyone who knew Stanley’s mum would go to the
