Be the Teacher

Directions: With your partner, develop 3 word problems which involve multiplying decimals by decimals. Determine a strategy to use for teaching/showing your “students” how to solve your problems.

What strategies? Think of strategies you’ve used to help solve multiplication of decimals problems.

Materials you can use: Base-ten blocks Unifix cubes Beans Graph paper Notebook paper Pencils Crayons Colored pencils Etc.

Create your lesson Create a presentation for your lesson using PowerPoint or Prezi. Type you 3 problems into three slides. When you present your lesson, you’ll project the problem and talk to the students about how to use your strategy to solve each problem.

Be the Teacher Rubric ProblemsDeveloped less than 2 problems involving the multiplication of decimals. Or developed 3 problems which did not involve the multiplication of decimals.
