By~ Monica Lindsey & Christina Garibay Be Proactive By~ Monica Lindsey & Christina Garibay

What is Proactive? Proactive is when you take charge of your own life and being able to control your actions. A proactive person comes to realize that he/she shouldn’t blame others for their own mistakes. A proactive person also makes choices based on value. When life gets you down you should do the best you can to make it better or focus on the most positive things.

How to be a Proactive Person Think before you act. Recognize that you can’t control everything that happens to you, but you can control what you do about it. Proactive people are like water~ if you shake them up (make them angry) nothing will happen. They are calm cool and in control.

The Opposite of Proactive The opposite of proactive is reactive. A reactive person makes choices based on impulse. They are like a can of soda. If you shake them up and the pressure just keeps building until it finally bursts open. A reactive person blames others for their own mistakes and have no control over their own actions.

Making the Right Choices When someone is negative towards you try and show them positive feelings and teach them that being a reactive person is the wrong choice. When you get in an argument be the one to apologize first. Think before you act.

The End!
