First – select a design Start by selecting a design for your slides Find the Design tab Browse the themes to choose a look Download new themes!

Add slides choose layouts Click on the “home” tab then new slide

Change Font and Color Font Click the Home tab Highlight the text that you need to resize Click the large capital A to make the text larger or click the small capital A to make the text smaller Color Click the Home tab Highlight the text Click the little arrow next to the A with a black line under it Choose your color by clicking on it

Adding pictures Picture Insert tab > picture Clip art task pane Change All media file types to what you need -sound -movies -photos

Playing your show Slide show tab > choose! Or…… Use the Short cut on bottom right of screen Use Arrow keys or mouse to move through the slides

Views in PowerPoint I use outline view in advanced PowerPoint for changing templates Effects, hyperlinks,transitions will not work unless in slide show view

Adding transitions between slides Click Animations tab > choose from transitions to this slide options Can Apply to all Can choose to make advance automatically after – set the timing.

Printing in PowerPoint Click office logo button Choose Print

Find existing PowerPoint's! Use the internet! Alta vista offers advanced search feature – can search for PowerPoint (or smartboard or mimeo presentations!) Click Advanced Search

Change views Many templates want to change the content using the outline view Under the ribbon, above thumbnails, click outline view.
