Sun The sun is a star. The sun keeps everyone and everything alive.

Mercury Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. Mercury is 36 million miles from the sun.

Venus Venus is the 2nd planet from the sun. It is 400 miles smaller than earth.

Earth Earth is the planet that we live on. Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun.

Mars Mars is nicknamed the red planet. It is colored from dust.

Asteroid Belt Asteroids are made of rocks. They are similar to comets.

Jupiter Jupiter is the biggest planet. 1,300 Earths can fit into Jupiter.

Saturn Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun. The 2nd biggest planet is Saturn.

Uranus Uranus spins on it’s side. It was the 1st planet discovered by telescope.

Neptune Neptune is almost four times larger then Earth. It has the most violent weather.

Pluto The only dwarf planet is Pluto. In 2006 Pluto was a dwarf planet.

Comets Comets are made of ice. They are small.

Stars Stars are huge balls of gas. A star is the sun.

Black Hole Black holes can suck up matter in the universe. Many people believe it can eventually explode.

Galaxy A galaxy is a large system of stars, gas, and dust. We live in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Milky Way The Milky Way is the galaxy we live in. Milky Way is a spiral galaxy. Wrong Milky Way.

Spiral Galaxy Milky Way is a spiral galaxy. Spiral galaxies got their name by looking like a spiral.

Constellations A constellation is a group of stars that make an imaginary picture. One constellation is the Big Dipper.

Universe The universe is all of the galaxies. Planets, stars and everything else make up the universe.

4 Inner Planets The inner planets are Mercury ,Venus , Earth , and Mars. After Mars is the Asteroid Belt.

4 Outer Planets The Outer Planets are Jupiter , Saturn , Uranus , and Neptune. Before Jupiter is the Asteroid Belt.

Dwarf Planet The only dwarf planet is Pluto. Pluto is a dwarf planet because it’s so small.
