 Scientists identify the boundaries between two plates by the plate movement.  There are three types of plate boundaries: 1. Divergent 2. Convergent.
Aim: How do the plates of the Earth move? Do Now: Using the worksheet, “Plate Movement: In out and Sideways”, answer the following questions below. - What.
Chapter 7: Plate Tectonics
Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Plate Tectonics. Earth’s plates move around, collide, move apart, or slide past each other. The movement of these plates can.
Imagine the Earth as a hardboiled egg……………………. The thin brittle shell is the crust that humans live on. The thick jelly like white is the deep hot magma.
 Billions of years ago the earths outer crust turned solid forming the planet known as earth lying just above the mantle.  The crust is not a solid.

Scientific Process I think the most important part of Scientific Process is the order. Question: What you’re trying to answer Hypothesis: What you think the answer is. Experiment: The actual activity Data: Information from the Experiment Conclusion: What you can relate this to. Reflection: What you learned.

Scientific Content The best part of the Scientific Content unit is Plate Tectonics (the Boundaries in this case). Convergent Boundary: A tectonic boundary where two plates are moving toward each other. If the two plates are of equal density, they usually push up against each other, forming a mountain chain. If they are of unequal density, one plate usually sinks beneath the other in a subduction zone. The western coast of South America and the Himalayan Mountains are convergent plate boundaries Divergent Boundary: One plate moves under the other into the mantle, as the other goes over. Transform Fault Boundary: A strike-slip fault, common in mid-ocean ridge regions, in which there has been a sudden change in the form or direction of displacement.

WCI/Projects Egg Drop Project I think this was another important project because it was fun watching eggs crack when they dropped out of the “Satellite Rescue” Machines when they were mad faulty.

Social Studies/WCI Leadership (The action of leading a group of people or an organization). Being a leader in WCI was an important role, for the one I did. The WCI was for Leading people to victory is a great feeling, but you must have the skill of Leadership. Leadership is important to WCI because you must have an organized 2 nd Hour WCI Leader.

Language Arts Lit. Circles Lit. Circles were a fun part of Lang. Arts. The first time… You have jobs you must complete to get a grade and prove you read it. On the second lit. Circle you must write summaries to prove you read it.

Math Math is not my favorite subject but it is an a pretty important one. The best part of Math was working with partners on the end of the year project. Second best would be after the tests you got to read.
