Majors Cities of India: Delhi, Calcutta and Bombay Delhi ~ the country’s capital Calcutta ~ the largest city in India Bombay ~ India’s main port and center of India’s movie industry EXIT

Life in the City Many live in high rise apartments. They may have running water and electricity, but not a lot of furniture. Dads use scooters to travel to work and take their kids to school. EXIT

Life in the City for the Rich Wealthy people live in big houses with many rooms, furniture, television and more. They have a car and sometimes a chauffer. Children go to private school and have money to spend on movies and hamburgers. EXIT

Poor and Homeless in the City For some people finding a job in the city is hard and they are forced to live on the streets. Some of these people end up in “shantytowns” outside of the city. They live in shacks with no water or electricity. EXIT
