 Follow the steps below: 1. Find your Thematic Analysis (the paper that is due today). 2. Find your copy of Of Mice and Men. 3. Place the two things located for steps 1 and 2 on your desk. 4. Remove everything else from your desk. 5. Sit quietly.

 From the list below, select which excuses are valid: A. My printer ran out of ink. B. I had no paper to print on. C. I was in the hospital. D. I lost my thumb drive. E. My dog vomited on my socks. F. There was a fire in my bedroom. G. Insects. H. Wait, this was due today?

 Please think of what you must bring to English 9 everyday.

 When you are in my classroom, I expect you to behave maturely and responsibly.  Please meet this expectation.

 Please refrain from using any electronic devices.  This policy includes, but is not limited to: › Cell Phones. › iPods  (other music players) › iPads – eBooks – Handheld Gaming Systems – Pagers – Other

 Sign out before leaving and take the pass. › Use the correct time.  Sign in when you return. › Use the correct time.

 Don’t ask me to leave class before the second bell rings. › You have 4 minutes between periods. Use them.

 Bathroom / Drink: › You may go to the restroom or get a drink at any time, as always. › For the remainder of the year, you may only leave three (3) times to use the restroom or get a drink.  Fewer than 25 days remain. You can do this.

 Please participate more.  Respect others (including Mr. Short) when they are talking. › Do not talk over someone, wait your turn.  Raise your hand.  Do not discuss topically unrelated issues when in class. › Focus

 Do not begin to pack your things up until Mr. Short completes teaching. › Doing so is rude. › Participation points will be deducted from your grade in English 9 if you do this.  As always, remain in your seats until the bell rings. › You do this very well, and I appreciate it.  Thank you.
