Why is pH important to monitor in water systems? Ph is a scale that measures the acidity or alkalinity of a substance Because you want to have water that is acidic or too basic For animals that cannot stand a certain amount of ph level in water

Two easy ways of measuring Ph A ph meter a scale that measures the acidity and alkalinity of a substance A ph paper A pH paper is made out of Litmus which is a mixture of plant compounds extracted from certain lichens. Turns red when it is in contact with acids and blue when in contact with bases.
