STORY: THE BIG RACE On a cold winter’s day, Jean, Crystal, Sam, and Nicole decided to have a big race. Nicole would ride her scooter and Crystal would do consecutive cartwheels all the way down the fifty foot long field. Sam decided to hop on one foot and Jean offered to spin in circles. When the race was about to start, Crystal started 10 feet ahead of the other racers who lingered at the starting line. At the sound of Mr. Taranta’s “Go!”, the competition began. Sam and Nicole were neck and neck throughout the race. They both finished in six seconds flat! Jean caught up to Crystal in the first few seconds but grew too dizzy to maintain a strong lead. In the end, Jean finished the race in thirteen seconds followed by Crystal who clocked in at fourteen seconds.
