Meteorology By Daniel & Dr. Brian Klimowski

What Is Meteorology Meteorology is the science that studies atmospheric phenomena, especially those that relate to weather. Meteorologists who forecast the weather rely on thousands of weather stations located around the world, both on land and at sea. At each station, measurements are taken of such things as air pressure and temperature, wind speed, cloud cover, and precipitation. Elsewhere, upper-level observations are made by weather balloons, and satellites, which send a continuous flow of photographs back to earth. All of this information is sent to national weather centers where it is plotted on charts and analyzed by meteorologists.

Where Brain Klimoswski Works He works at the national weather service I n Belmont AZ He is in-charge for all the services, products, and communications fort the National Weather Service He also serves as a meteorologist at least 15% of the time

Why Meteorology is important Meteorology is important not just for our everyday comfort and well- being (knowing whether to take an umbrella, for instance); it is crucial to predicting the path and severity of storms, such as hurricanes and cyclones. Having advanced warning of storms greatly increases the chance that people can be evacuated in time. Meteorology has atmospheric research that has applications in weather prediction, climate change and our general understanding of weather patterns. Knowing the weather conditions in advance is important to a number of industries including agriculture, shipping, forestry, fishing and transportation.

Research that’s was conducted by Brian Klimoswski Weather Modification (hail) research in Bismarck,ND, managing the on-board computer of the University of Wyoming research aircraft. Research on board of the University of Wyoming aircraft in Kansas City, MO Presented research at International conferences in Toronto, Kananaskie (Canada), Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver, Kansas City, Virginia, and several other US Locations
