PERSONAL VALUES What's Important -I want to accomplish my dream of finishing school and getting a good job in my ideal living situation. -I want to learn and grow with my screen printing career. -I want to better myself as a person and help others more often. 5 years -I want to have my dream job. -I want to have my dream house. -I want to have toured the country more and maybe visit a different one. -I want to be living in a different state.
ISTP Perceiving—I like to stay open to respond to whatever happens. Thinking—I look for logical explanations or solutions to almost everything. Sensing—I solve problems by working through facts until I understand the problem. Introversion—I feel comfortable being alone and like things I can do on my own.
PERSONAL EXAMPLES OF ISTP I like spending most of my time alone when I screen print or go on bike rides. I get excited about simple ideas, like when I find out I get to go out on the road with a band. I only pay attention to reality and care about what's happening currently; I don’t dwell in the past too much. I can pick things out that pertain to me such as when I hear things being said about the employees at my work place. I like to stay open to new ideas and experiences, like trying new foods and going new places.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON MY PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT I wouldn’t say I learned a lot about myself that I didn’t already know, but it helped me visualize my future and set goals, whether short term or long term.
THE DISCOVER PROGRAM Values- I scored highest in arts, social service and science/technology. Interests- The only area I scored high in was arts. Abilities- I scored highest in administration/sales and technical.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM DISCOVER DISCOVER opened my eyes to a bunch of different careers I never thought I’d be good at, like being an athletic coach. It also gave me the reassurance that I can further my education in visual communications, both in print technology as well as graphic arts. I thought my results were very accurate. My results fell in the areas I knew I would fall in. The information I gathered from the program gave me a good idea what other careers I could look into going into. I think it’s a great program and I hope others get good use out of it like I did.
3 STEPS 1. Take baby steps when taking my college classes and do only 2 or 3 at a time so I don’t get overwhelmed so I can be successful in each class. 2.Focus more on my homework and spending more time on it so I can get good grades in my classes and get the full effect and learn all I can so I’m not just wasting time and money. 3. I will listen more to my inner guide so I can be more positive about my classes and in life.

FINANCIAL PLAN I have financial aid but I also will be applying for scholarships to help pay for my schooling. I also work 40+ hours a week, and I plan to keep doing that so I can pay off my debt faster.
FINAL THOUGHTS I now realize that I don’t think I want to go into social work as I originally wanted. I think I will stick with my screen printing and get more into design and art through a visual communications degree. I have also learned that setting goals, even if they are small can help me accomplish things quicker and more efficiently. I set little goals to finish this project, and it definitely helped because I got it done.
