Presentation transcript:

In our culture we have a lot of well-known tales and legends. Two of them are: -Enchanting Helen and Prince Argelus The Kidnapped Princess - The Kidnapped Princess

These tales revolve mainly around princesses, but we also can find mythical creatures in them. Some of the characters are ‘good ‘ and there are also some ‘bad ‘ characters in tales. Good characters always win, and it is very-very important for children to see it. And not just for children. This fact teaches us to do right, good things and behave well and to be kind to other people. For example in the second tale the younger son, who gives food to ants and to ducks can save the princess. He can kill the dragons who kidnapped the princess and he gets his award for his braveness and goodness. Though he is a poor man he marries the princess. The older son doesn’t do it and of course he can’t do it.

In the first tale there are also some very important facts and we also can learn some lessons from it. To gain your award you have to do sometimes a lot of things. It is usually frightening first but you have to believe in yourself. You can do everything and anything if you really want to. This lesson is also very important in our lives. So that’s why tales are important in our culture and lives.
