Poll: Who were the allies powers of World War1?

Poll results

Analyzing Data The question was “Who were the allies powers of World War1?” There were 4 multiple answers of which only 1 was right, the answer was “United States, Russia, UK, Australia, etc.” By looking at the results I can see that from a total of 58 votes, 42 were the right answer. The other 16 are divided into the other questions.

Analyzing Data The data tells us that people have a good knowledge of World War 1. But what surprises me is those who voted on the other answers such as “Germany, Austria- Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria” which got 6 votes, and that is actually the axis and its ok to make a mistake on the other questions but it means some people just don’t know who was even involved in World War 1. It was a easy question with an obvious answer.

Analyzing Data What didn’t surprise me was that a higher percentage of the votes were on the right answer: “United States, Russia, UK, Australia, etc.” Because World War 1 was such a major event in human history that most people should have a basic knowledge of what happened and who was involved. I think this results are reliable because its actual people voting, this means it shows the variety of people and what they know and don’t know.

Conclusion By examining the data given I can conclude that most people have a good knowledge of who were the allies and axis. I can also say other people just don’t know it at all, but it’s a very small amount considering its only 58 votes and there is 7 billion people in the world. I can’t make an approximate either because once again it’s a very small amount of people and small amount of data given to come up with a conclusion.
