Login A login is a combination of information that proves your identity. Ex: If you are ever asked to enter your username and password, you are being asked to enter your login information.

Network When you have two or more computers connected to each other, you have a network.

Folder/Directory A folder or directory is the place that stores electronic files.

Pull-down menu A pull-down menu is a window that opens on the screen to show different options for that program. It is also called a drop-down menu or a pop-up menu.

Presentation Software A computer program that helps you create presentations is called presentation software. An example of this is PowerPoint.

Mouse Pointer A mouse pointer is the object on the computer screen that moves when you move the mouse. It is usually a small white arrow and it disappears when you begin typing.

Word processor A computer program used for writing, editing, storing, and printing text. (Ex. Microsoft Word)

Insert Operation used to add information to a document.
