What is Geography? The student will be able to: Define physical geography; Define human (cultural) geography; Explain the difference between physical geography and human geography.

What is Geography? Definition of Geography: The discovery of the world around us and how people interact with their surroundings.

What is Geography? There are two major divisions (branches) of geography: Physical Geography: The study of how that earth’s natural features vary from place to place. (surface of the earth) Includes the study of mountains and plains, weather and climates, plants and animals, and water resources, etc.
