Sign Shapes 8 different shapes of signs Means Stop Stop line (White Line) Before Crosswalk (Marked or Unmarked) At the sign before entering the intersection

Yield right of way to pedestrians and approaching traffic If 4-way stop, wait your turn If person holding sign, flow their direction Police officer School Crossing Guard Construction worker

Means yield the right of way Maybe stop sign

Means railroad crossing ahead 750ft in front of tracks in rural area If train is coming stop and wait, don’t try to beat train

Means warning Either yellow or orange in color Warns of hazards or possible hazards Also used in construction zones

Means school zone or school crossing 2 children walking = school is near 2 children in crosswalk, you are at a school crossing
