Once again, use PEMDAS to evaluate  3 = (Multiply.) = 19 (Add.)

Let’s try solving for x Solve the equation -4x + y = -36 for x. Ask: What is the first thing being done to the x? Multiply by -4. What is the next thing done to x? –Add y To undo – then we should …..subtract y, divide by -4
