IF YOU HAVE TRIED AND FAILED AGAIN!

JOHN 21 Simon Peter said to them, I am going fishing. They said to him, We are going with you also. They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore...Jesus said to them, Children, have you any food? They answered Him, No. He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord! Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. But the other disciples came in the little boat...dragging the net with fish.

Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have just caught. Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. Jesus said to them, Come and dine. ALL:...So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord; You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

TRUTH #1 - The greatest failure is quitting what God has called me to do – I QUIT!

Can a failure like this ever be used by God again? QUESTION:

IMPORTANT: There is a difference between quitting what I would like to do but have proven I cant do and quitting what GOD has called me to do and knows I can do!

TRUTH #2 - Failure is a great time to learn about myself.

Failure teaches us: 1. our own limitations!

You dont realize how much you need Jesus until you realize how helpless you are without Jesus! Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5

How Jesus Put It: The Negative: Without Me you can do (accomplish) nothing.

How Jesus Put It: The Negative: Without Me you can do (accomplish) nothing. The Positive: If a man remains (continues or abides) in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. (John 15:5) The Invitation: Come and dine and lets try again!

Failure teaches us: 1.our own limitations! 2.we do not know everything we think we know!

TRUTH #3 - Failure is just another time (maybe the millionth time) to get up and try again!
