Why are fossil fuels considered nonrenewable? Fossil Fuels are sources of energy that take a very long period of time to form and once depleted, are essentially.
Energy Sources. Fossil Fuels Coal, Oil and Gas are called "fossil fuels" because they are the fossilized remains of prehistoric plants and animals. Coal,

Fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas)

Combined heat and power plant (CHP) How it works In action

Solar power Lots of panels….. Lots of mirrors….. Solar power plant in Tabernas desert, Andalusia, Spain

HEP (Hydro-electric [water])

Geothermal

Wave power There have been several attempts to harness wave power but none has been very effective but maybe this one….. The Pelamis [Wave Energy Converter] is composed of cylindrical sections linked by hinged joints. The waves cause movement which is joints is resisted by hydraulic rams, which pump high-pressure oil through hydraulic motors. The hydraulic motors drive electrical generators to produce electricity. Several devices can be connected together and linked to shore through a single seabed cable.
