Locations Near Dining Room or Living Room, Why? To provide overflow Between Kitchen and Garage (Hobbies) Adjacent to Patio (Pool and Picnic) Basement (Large Area, Noise, Cleaning)

Size Depends on: Number of people planning on using the room Type of Activity Furniture selection

Décor/Lighting Floors that are easy to clean Materials that are washable and resistant to marking (linoleum) Lighting depends on activity (Game playing or watching TV)
