Start and Stop Switches

Guard Adjustment Use this knob to loosen the guard bar to adjust the guard to the correct height. Tighten after adjustment is done.

Guard Adjustments The Guard Adjustment is too far from the top of the wood The Guard Adjustment is correct. ¼ in from the top of the wood. IncorrectCorrect

Band Saw Safety When cutting on the band saw, always keep your fingers outside of the circle area.

Cutting on the band saw When cutting on the band saw, you can cut straight and large curves without making relief cuts. When cutting, keep the line directly in front of the blade.

Relief Cuts When cutting angles and small curves you need to make relief cuts first. Cut straight in to the edge of your line or corner, then back your wood straight out. (The only time you move the wood backwards.) Then cut your shape out.

Cleaning the band saw When cleaning the band saw, make sure to sweep these areas with a hand broom, working your way from the top down. Sweep the floor with a big broom. Use a hand broom to sweep the sawdust into the dustpan. Make sure the power is off and the blade has stopped before cleaning
