We decided to make a flashlight out of LED lights, flashlight case, 2032 coin cell batteries, paper clip and electrical tape. Our flashlight functions on a simple on off switch, when the switch is pushed forward it turns on and when the switch is pushed back it is off. What is Our Project?
We were able to make a functioning flashlight that meets all of the requirements and everything we expected to learn we did. Success
We expected to learn how a flashlight works and how to make it as convenient as we could in the amount of time we were given. What We Expected To Learn
I think I learned more than what I thought I would, including some life lessons. I learned to persevere and not give up because I was really close to giving up on the whole switch idea because it took so long. I also learned what I was expected because I think our flashlight is convenient and it works well too.v Did We Learn What We Were Expected To
We struggled with figuring out how to make the on off switch, but we found out that if you modify the LED a certain way you would be able to push it against the battery and the light would turn on. We used this as the base idea of our on off button mechanism. Struggles
We tried out around 5 different on-off buttons and started making it during the beginning of our project. It took us until the very last work day to figure it out. It was very frustrating, but in the end we were able to succeed. Failures
