Bank Statements Help!

Managing Money Help! Mr Jones wants to buy a new computer that costs £490. He would like it before he starts his new job next week. His son’s birthday is coming up and he wants to buy him a new bike, which costs £180. He also wants to go to the theatre, with 2 top price tickets costing £70. He also needs to do his food shopping, which normally costs around £100, and pay his gas bill of £35. Mr Jones pays £22 a week in petrol to get to and from work. Mr Jones has £ in his bank account, and a credit card with £1000 available. What should Mr Jones do...?

Calculating Cost How much will you charge for each of your cards? Each company has been provided with card-making materials worth £5 in total. Cards & envelopes: £2.50 (for 10) Stickers: £1.50 Glitter and other arts materials: £1 What do you need to consider to help you make a decision? Have you used all of the materials made available? Have you made some cards that feature more stickers/glitter than others? How much do you think people at the sale will want to pay? How much do greetings cards normally cost? Do hand made items cost more or less than others? How much profit are you aiming to make?

The Final Product! You now have 20 minutes to put the finishing touches to your cards and posters promoting your products. You also need to think about the presentation of your stall at the sale – how will you attract people to buy your cards over others? Managing Directors – ensure that each member of your company has a role and is involved in finishing your product and preparing for the sale

The Card Sale Now it is time to set up your stall! Next session will take place at.... Offices, and will involve a Dragon’s Den style presentation evaluating the success of your company and product.
