Partner with donors to maximize their giving dollars and build sustainable relationships. Matching as a service You are helping your donors make the most of their giving dollars. They appreciate the opportunity to leverage their gifts. When economic resources diminish, how money is spent becomes more important. Many donors are unaware of this employee benefit. Educate them. Facilitate the matching process for your donors. – “Thanks for the reminder – completed company match form.” – “Thanks Linda I had no idea we had this program.” You are providing them with information about their matching program policies and restrictions that helps them make decisions about how to allocate their donations. Providing donors with detailed information about their matching program requirements & eligibility helps them make informed decisions about allocating their resources. You and your program can become a gateway to creating more meaningful relationships for your donors. Matching is as much about service & stewardship as it is about revenue. You can help create long-lasting relationships that serve both parties. Matching as a service You are helping your donors make the most of their giving dollars. Matching: It’s Elementary! Matching thrives on employment information. Begin collecting it  Add employment fields to online giving sites.  Add employment fields to print media.  Create a pathway within your organization to insure employment information reaches you.  Keep biographical employment data current in your database.  If your budget allows, use an employment screening service. Like HEP’s Employer Find. It’s quick and fast, and will pay for itself.  If you’re budget won’t cover paid services, use Google or LinkedIn to research employment data.
