More on transport  Stone carvings in the temple at thebes shows slaves carrying large loads on their backs using a pole heavier loads were carried on two poles with two men  A model in tutankamuns tomb shows us him using a small boat made from reeds to hunt in the marshes of the nile  A stone carving shows a pharoah being carried in a chair on two poles on a shoulder of four slaves. This idea would only be used for short journeys in the city
