What is a reflexive verb?? A reflexive verb is any action that is reflected back at the person doing the action. -you wash your own hair - you brush your own teeth

Regardons la différence… se brosser les dents In this case, you’re not brushing other people’s teeth… you’re brushing your own! Ex. Je me brosse les dents. I myself brush my teeth. brosser les dents In this case, you’d be brushing someone else’s teeth! Ex. Je brosse les dents de mon enfant. I brush my child’s teeth (grande brosse à dents) ;)

me nous te vous se se Je Nous Tu Vous Il/Elle Ils/Elles To indicate that the verb is reflexive, we need to add REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS before the conjugated verb. This refers to the “se” that you see before the verb. The “se” will undergo a transformation based on the subject of the sentence… Subject of Sentence Reflexive Pronoun Je   Nous Tu Vous Il/Elle Ils/Elles me nous te vous se se

Let’s look at one… SE LAVER Nous nous lavons Vous vous lavez Ils se lavent Elles se lavent Je me lave Tu te laves Il se lave Elle se lave I don’t even see how this is different… Omg. Are you kidding? Don’t you see those little underlined words?!

You need the reflexive pronouns! (those little underlined words)
