Body composition ([E] in ADG) is the most important factor of variation of feed efficiency and requirements (lysine): Boars<Gilts<Barrows Differences between genders depend on interactions (with housing, stocking density, genotype, BW, etc.) Regulation of E intake (boars?)? Feed restriction (barrows?)? Feed E concentration? Effects of immunocastration?
