A subheading is a heading but not as strong. Example: How they live Subheadings A subheading is a heading but not as strong. Example: How they live

Headings A heading is the part of a article that tells you what the piece of text is about. Example: Slap Shot

Index A index is a page or two of the book and tells you what page it’s on. Example: Frogs 1000

Italics Italics are if the author wants you to make sure to read it and think about it he/she would put in italics. Example: Glove Save

Bold words are words that are important and he/she wants you to read. Example: Wrist Shot

Colored Words Colored words are words that the author wants you to talk to someone about. Example: 100 Miles

Pronunciation Guide A pronunciation guide is in the back of the book and it tells you how to pronounce a word. Example: (Soc)(cer)

Example: Snakes are 4000 percent poisonous. Fact Box A fact box is a little box that tells you about what the information is more about. Example: Snakes are 4000 percent poisonous.

Captions Captions are a sentence that tells you about the photograph. Example: Lions have sharp teeth.

Table Of Contents Table of contents is something that tells you what chapter its on. Example: Football

Labels Labels are something that tells you about the photo. Example: lions

Photographs Photographs are pictures that are taken in the real universe not in la la land. Example: This is a Maple Tree.

Diagram Diagrams are a graph that shows you a situation. Example: This shows numbers for work.

Title A title is the name of the book and gets the reader to read it. Example: Elephants

Graph A graph is a chart that shows a difference of something. Example: colored graphs
