The MED programme is a transnational programme of European territorial cooperation. It is financed by the European Union as an instrument of its regional policy and of its new programming period. THE PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES To improve the area's competitiveness in a way that guarantees growth and employment for the next generations (Lisbon strategy). To promote territorial cohesion and environmental protection, according to the logic of sustainable development (Goteborg strategy). General aim is to create a transnational structure aimed to improve the local and regional policies and innovation capacity, to enhance the women entrepreneurship in Med Area, through know-how exchange, particularly referred to productive processes and products themselves. It wants to update and improve the competitively of SMEs with women management, through the activation of actions aimed to strength the international dimension of MED Women SMEs. Specific aim is to design and implement a transnational Public-Private network/platform for sustain the women entrepreneurship in the field of legal assistance, access to credit, management of human resources, marketing, ICT utilisation, realisation of trade partnership, sustainable development.
