At Christmas What do we celebrate at Christmas in Spain?

We celebrate… Christmas’ Eve Christmas’ Day Fool’s Day New Year’s Eve New Year’s Day The Coming of the Three Wise Men

Christmas’ Eve (24th December) We have dinner with our family. We eat seafood, pork, turkey or lamb, ham, … We sing carols. We put the Crib.

Christmas Day (25th December) In the morning we sometimes have some presents near the Crib or under the Tree. It is a very good moment with the family. We have a special lunch.

Fool’s Day (28th December) We play jokes on the others.

New Year’s Eve (31st December) We usually have twelve grapes. We have one grape with each stroke at midnight to welcome the New Year.

New Year’s Day (1st January) We go to the street with the family. We make resolutions.

5th January We wait for the Three Wise Men. The Three Wise Men go. into our homes and they put a lot of presents for all the family. On 6th in the morning we have “Roscón de Reyes” for breakfast
