CORROSION TEST RESULTS Cr diffusion alloyed 1018 and 4140 steel –Competes with 13 Cr and 2205 duplex CRA Corrosion advantage over 420 stainless steel –pH 3.4 to 250,000 ppm chloride at 95°C –pH 2.8 to 150,000 ppm chloride at 95°C –Factor of 5 to 10 lower corrosion rate –Confirmed by 28 day test at 1,000 ppm Cl¯
