Viewing an Archived Session of Wimba Classroom Instructions for Students

Accessing the Archive Step 1: Go to the content area where Wimba Classroom is located and click on the Wimba Classroom link. Step 2: Review the list of recorded archives and choose the appropriate session by clicking on the online classroom link. Step 3: Click the ‘Enter Archive’ button

Playing, Stopping & Pausing the Archive By default, the archived session begins to play as soon as you enter the session. To stop or pause the session, click on the pause or stop buttons located directly above the chat box. To continue playing the session once you have paused or stopped the session, click the play button. These buttons are circled in red in the image on the right.

Navigating through the Archive The list of slides will be located on the right once you have entered the archived session. This list also shows the length of each slide. To go or return directly to a slide, click on the link for that slide, which will be located within this list. If the instructor has added poll questions or a link to a website (an example is circled on the right), links for these items will also appear in the list. Clicking on a link for a web site will bring you directly to the site, either within the wimba classroom screen OR in a new window.

Answering Poll Questions You can also answer a poll question in an archived session. The instructor will be able to view your response. To go to a poll question that the instructor has included in the session, wait for the question to appear while the archive session plays OR go directly to the link in the list on the right (this list is pictured in the image on the previous slide) Enter your answer to the poll question and click ‘Submit.’
