Review Our first meeting was about individual stress and the way we move in and out of stressed states of mind: Experience is created from the inside-out. Stress is a moment-to-moment experience generated by the nature and quality of our thinking. As our thinking changes, our changing states of mind define our behavioral options (other people, situations, and our own potential look different to us in different states of mind). If you havent done the reading from the first session, the material can be downloaded from your web-site. 14 Finding the Insight Bus Stop Running around the field I DONT KNOW… Allow Mind To Quiet Try to Figure It Out

What we do to get temporary relief from upsetting thinking always has consequences.

When our minds are not free and clear, we make mistakes with the best of intentions.

Mind quiets. Attachment to insecure thought content disappears. Insight and common sense return. We have good judgment and make good choices. We feel awake, alive and present. Our body s healing potential revives. Mind quiets. Attachment to insecure thought content disappears. Insight and common sense return. We have good judgment and make good choices. We feel awake, alive and present. Our body s healing potential revives. Wisdom

Wisdom We scarcely notice it because it is natural.

Why does this matter… To you? To your colleagues? To your patients? To your family? To your institution? To you? To your colleagues? To your patients? To your family? To your institution?

Closing thought Our intellect and our inner wisdom should work together to create harmony in our lives. However, if the intellect lacks wisdom, chaos reigns. Sydney Banks The Missing Link, p Mr. Banks speaking at a seminar at WVU in April, 2005
