Things “NOT TO DO” In Your Role as a New EO Officer

Get to know your “Sphere of Influence” BUT DO NOT be discouraged if they DO NOT want to know you! DO NOT become intimidated!

DO NOT try to remember everything. DO NOT sit on information too long.

DO NOT spend too much time focusing on what you DO NOT have; what you CANNOT do; and/or who WILL NOT help you. DO NOT avoid regular communication with your boss or to ask for his/her help. DO NOT pay attention to the “Are You Kidding Me” look on his/her face the more you talk or the developing scowl the longer you remain in their presence.

And, DO NOT give into the overpowering urge to RUN FORREST, RUN

DO NOT cease to be persistent in finding ways to learn that which you DO NOT know about your profession, and turn that which you DO know into a “Best Practice”! Challenge Yourself Daily; Believe In Yourself Often; and NO MATTER WHAT…

DO NOT Give Up!
