What is the HAZMATCADTM? The HAZMATCAD™ is a next generation handheld trace chemical agent detector for Nerve (G) and Blister (H) agents as well as Hydrogen Cyanide (AC) or Phosgene (CG). The HAZMATCAD™ is designed to detect for these warfare agent gases with minimal interference from other chemicals which are often present in the battlefield or urban environment.

What is the HAZMATCAD™ Plus? The HAZMATCAD™ Plus expands the performance of HAZMATCAD™ by adding the ability to detect selected TICs (Toxic Industrial Chemicals). These chemicals are detected and reported by class identification (hydride and halogen gases).

HAZMATCAD™ Configurations HAZMATCAD™ Plus SAW (nerve and blister) Four electrochemical cells (blood, choke, halogen and hydride gases) HAZMATCAD™ SAW (nerve and blister) One electrochemical cell (blood or choke)

False Alarms vs. Analysis Time Fast Response Time – IMS – Typically (5 to 30 sec) Direct readout of total contamination No sample pre-collection or clean up Increased risk of false positives HAZMATCAD™ Analysis Time – SAW (20 to 120 sec) Fast Mode (20 sec) or High Sensitivity Mode (120 sec) Sample collection on absorbant media Sample control Reduced risk of false positives

How Does a SAW Sensor Work? Small Piezoelectric Crystal Interdigital Array Polymer Surface Coating RF Electronics to Drive SAW Data Collection - frequency changes as mass absorbs into polymer
